Warframe – How to get Nova

Who is Nova?

Nova is the first Warframe to be Antimatter themed. Her kit contains a mix of offensive, defensive and utility abilities, and is handy in many different situations. For example, her 4th ability, Null star, primes enemies with Antimatter. This makes them explode on death and depending on your ability strength, either run fast or run slow. Really handy for missions like Defense to quickly move enemies towards the objective and in Interceptions, to keep them away from the objectives for as long as possible.

Nova also has a Prime variant that features all the same abilities just with improved base Warframe stats.

What do I need to build Nova?

To be able to build Nova, you’ll need a couple of things.

Every Warframe is made up of various pieces. In Nova’s case this is:

  • Nova Blueprint
  • Nova Chassis
  • Nova Systems
  • Nova Neuroptics

Now, the main blueprint can be bought for credits from the market in your Orbiter. To do this, head over to the Market and search for Nova, from there you will be able to buy the Blueprint to build Nova for 25,000 credits.

Alternatively, there will be an option to spend platinum to buy Nova. This will buy the complete Warframe, meaning you skip the entire build process. It’s not advised to do this however as the community generally agrees there are much better uses for that plat.

The rest of the parts will have to be farmed for.

How do I get the parts for Nova?

Nova’s Warframe parts drop from the Europa, Namaah node. This is an assassinate mission where you’ll have to kill the Raptors.

Each time you kill the Raptors and successfully extract you’ll get a blueprint for either the Chassis, Neuroptics or Nova Systems. Unfortunately though, it’s possible to get duplicates.

Also, each Warframe piece has a specific chance to drop this mission. In this case the Chassis and Neuroptics Blueprints have a 38.72% drop chance, and the Systems Blueprint has a 22.56% drop chance. You can also only get one of these for every run that you complete.

Eventually, when you have all the pieces you need, you can head over to the foundry in your Orbiter.

Here, you can search for Nova and it should show you all the nova parts you can build.

In total, to be able to build these parts you’ll need the following resources:

So how do I ACTUALLY build Nova?

Once you have all these resources, you’re good to go. When your at the foundry in your Orbiter, search for Nova and simply start building the three Warframe components and wait 12 hours. The good news is, you can build all three pieces at the same time as long as you have the resources, there’s no limit to how much you can craft at once.

When the 12 hours is up, collect your three Nova pieces and start building the actual Warframe. This will take 72 hours and again, it isn’t recommended to spend plat to rush this, as tempting as it may look.

After 72 hours, your Warframe will be built and you can now claim her from the foundry, all you need to do it make sure you have a free Warframe slot in your inventory. If you don’t however, you can buy one from the Marketplace for Platinum, this is generally considered to be a great use of your starter Plat.
